We were down town walking and this demonstration went by. No idea what it was about, but thought the swastika's were interesting, note the line through them. The cycle and hammer on the second one was interesting also. Needless to say, I was not hanging around to discuss their political views with them. Wearing a black hood over your head does not invite conversation!

Even though it is Sun., I have this really nice man who comes and washes my windows every couple of months. Just thought you would enjoy seeing how he does it. I personally have to leave the apt. when he comes, it makes me too nervous to watch him. OSHA would have a ball down here. Now we have a lot of windows. The apt. is 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath, laundry room, sun room and maids room. Lots of windows, thank heaven as we are on the 9th floor and the view is wonderful. What you can't see in these pictures is that the apt. goes around the corner and continues along the whole front of the building with more windows. Have no idea what it would cost in the states because I am sure I could not afford it, but here to wash all those windows inside and out, it is $20. The bottom picture will make you appreciate that price even more!!!

How cute is this little guy! Not a day over 5 yrs old and he is on the street making music.
Well, he had rhythm and a beat, the melody was a little weak. But he danced as well, and if you gave him money he would really dance. I watched for quit awhile just to see if there was an adult around, and I never saw one. That is a worry, but he was happy and looked healthy.

Yada, Yada, Yada
Actually I used to teach a workshop on Male/Female Communications and since you brought it up-----A better comparison is-
Men communicate like Picasso-- a few bold strokes, a few primary colors, the final picture a hard to interrupt jumble of what the real picture is supposed to be.
Women on the other hand communicate like Monet --lots of delicate detailed strokes, use of the whole palette of beautiful colors, and the final picture can be identified easily due to the superior talent of the artist.
But YES, even after 44 years of not having a clue what the other was saying, it is still fun and as you can see from the picture I still hang on tight to my guy!
It is so amazing to me that two people can live together for 44 years, get along fantastically, have a blast together continually, and not understand half of what the other is saying. Venus-Mars, way too close together - should be Men are from Earth / Women from the Romulan Nebuli.
Fact of life is that Apples are just playing the part of Beta to the real PC's. I love the latest defense of Apples - Tomey says - "But Dad, now you can install Windows on the Apples" I love that. If Apples are so great, why are they stealing the Windows systems?
But the real problem is this - regardless of what my Darling wife says. My laptop is ten years old - it has earned the right to get sick once in a while. So it caught a bug - the real problem was the medication I gave it.
Let me explain. It caught a virus (Swine Flu I think). I took it to the doctor and he replaced the Windows system (gave it a brain transplant) and told me it was as good as new. So it was for about three months. Then it's whole personality changed, started acting strange - sound familiar? Wouldn't let me work on the Blog. Then it started begging me to save it - it began to write to me "I am being poisoned - that quack Doctor gave me an Apple for a Brain." Turns out it was right. I took it back in yesterday and found that they did not install a new Brain, they installed a pirated, illegal, fake brain (probably one they took out of a spoiled Apple).
Turns out that down here it is common practice. Course I should have gotten suspicious originally when the bill for replacing the Windows system was $30. (Ok I was a little slow in not picking up on that.) Seems that almost everything here is pirated - there are no copyright laws in Bolivia, just as there are no liquor laws, and no pharmacy laws.
Good and Bad as usual. I was watching the new Wolverine movie on a disc in my home months before it appeared in theaters in the states. The guy again reinstalled a Windows system in my poor, sick computer, making it "good as new" and didn't charge me anything. Turns out the Blog problem is something else entirely - I am at work early doing this..
Ok, yell at me for buying pirated items. Jody did too, but she wanted the Wolverine Disc. Yes, those of you who are yelling, remember that I will be watching the new Harry Potter months before you can go see it in theaters.
Got to get to work

Once again I have to come in behind Carl and tell the,
"rest of the story"!
Now in defence of Carl, he has been swamped. Hiring a new principle, all the details of the last days of school a science fair, a talent show, on and on. Plus he had Evita (our new little Maltese puppy) in the Vet's with IVs and me in the hospital with IVs for the last couple days. No big deal, just something the puppy ate that made her seriously sick, and my blood pressure just decided to go for a roller coaster ride. All is well now and everything back to normal. Well, Carl is a little worse for wear, but he is a really tough guy. Plus, we are so not alone here. Friends offering to help with whatever and bringing dinners in. It pays to be sick, great food.
I do want to comment on the hospitals, nurses, doctors and veterinarian. All excellent! Seriously, very modern facilities, up to date everything. Much better than when my brother broke his back in Mexico para sailing. The care was above excellent. Carl had to take Evita to the vet on Sat. and Sun., yes the vet. was open on Sun. Left her for a couple of days, lab work, med.s, and on and on, her bill was $30. There are things here that are different, some better, some worse, but the people here are well educated, care about their patients and work so hard! What amazes me is the different in the cost. We are in the process of getting Tomey Jean, Carl's sister down here for a knee transplant, just can't afford it in the states. I swear I am thinking of offering a Bed and Breakfast service for anyone who wants medical services down here to recuperate. Everyone here has a nose job or boob job. Well I certainly don't need either of those---------but if you do or anything else, I have a room for you!

Ok, to all married guys out there. Have you ever noticed that wives don't seem to listen. Or maybe it is only my wife. What I have been trying to explain to her is that I have a problem with my computer - not my log in. Ilost Windows completely down here, some bug. I took it in and they fixed it - supposedly, except now it keeps saying I have an illegal version and it will not let me do a lot of things --LIKE POST A MESSAGE ON HERE.
I am on my work computer now and do not have time to post now - I do have a job.
Anyway after work today I am taking the computer back in and try to get this straightened out. I KNOW IT HAS BEEN AWHILE - I'M SORRY!!
Seriously, I will try to get it fixed. Maybe post something tonight

Don't know how he did it, but bless his heart, Carl did post something new about Labor Day here in Bolivia. Somehow it was inserted about 4 post below this one out of order. Bet he could not do that again if he tried.
We did have a great 3 day weekend. Needed it, this week is going to be a bear, but a fun bear!

The Hello below was a test, I was getting on Carl for not posting anything in such a long time and he was telling me he couldn't. Some story about the system not letting him, yada, yada, yada! So I logged in under his user name and guess what, it worked!
You will have a new post tonight from Carl, hee hee!
